Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National park
In the morning, you will be picked from the hotel and drive a scenic journey to the beautiful town of Fort Portal. You will visit the nakayima tree enroute in Mubende, “Amabere ganyina mwiru” in Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight in Mountain of the moon hotel/Ndali Lodge/Primates lodge.Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk.
In the morning, you will drive to Kibale forest national park, and enter the forest in search for the Chimpanzees. You will also meet the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and many more. Enjoy the view of the primates as they play in the fruiting trees. You will also see elephants, and other animals. In the afternoon, you will move to Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will see a variety of bird species and other animals. Return to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight in your hotel.Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi.
In the morning, you will set off for the Journey to Bwindi, passing through Queen Elizabeth national park, and connecting via Ishasha sector, where you will be able to spot game like tree climbing lion, elephants,antelopes and many others. Reach Bwindi in the evening where dinner and overnight will be had at Gorilla resort/Buhoma community bandas.Day 4: Gorilla tracking and community walk.
This is the memorable day, where you will track the amazing giants. Move to the park headquarters in the morning for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the animals. Head into the forest for the trekking adventure, where you will move through thick and slippery trails. Trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the Gorilla. Meet and stay in the presence of the Gorillas for a maximum of one hour, then descend to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will take a community walk to the Batwa community, where you will get entertained and learn about their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.Day 5: Back to Kampala.
In the morning after breakfast, you will begin the drive back to Kampala, with enroute stopover for lunch and photography at the equator and local craft markets for African craft. Reach Kampala in the afternoon, and transfer to your hotel or to the airport for departure in case the flight is on schedule.End of Safari
