5 Days Uganda gorilla trekking tour to Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth national park starts and ends in Kampala with African Birding Journeys. The trip takes you for a visit to Uganda’s most visited national parks; Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park. The tour starts with a wildlife tour in Queen Elizabeth National Park, the famed park for game viewing and spotting the tree climbing lions. Other adventures in this park include chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge, launch cruises along the Kazinga Channel, one of the waterways with the highest concentrations of wildlife, etc. The trip later takes yopu to Bwindi for gorilla tracking. After meeting the gorillas, you have up to 1 hour to watch them in their natural wild.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Depart for Queen Elizabeth national park.
In the morning, you will be picked from your hotel, and depart southwestwards to Queen Elizabeth national park, one of the most visited national parks in Uganda, with a variety of wildlife. You will have enroute stop over at in Mbarara for lunch before continuing a scenic drive through green plantations and plains to Queen Elizabeth National park. You will have enroute game drive a as you enter the park. Diner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Jacana safari lodge/Simba safari camp.Day 2: Chimp tracking and Boat cruise.
In the morning, you will go to Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee and other primates tracking. See the amazing primates like the baboons, monkeys and the Chimps play and squibble in the fruiting forest. Return to the hotel for relaxation, and after lunch, you will gather at Kazinga channel in the afternoon to enjoy a boat cruise. You will have the opportune to view water animals like hippos, crocodiles, and several water birds as king fishers, herons, bee eater, shoebill stork, and many more.Day 3: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi.
After your early breakfast, you will go for game drive in Ishasha sector, where you will see animals like lion, leopard, elephant, buffalos, as well as variety of bird species. You will also see tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector. Continue to Bwindi, reaching in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorillas guest hotel/Lake Kitandara/Buhoma community bandas.Day 4: Gorilla tracking Adventure.
This is the memorable day, where you will track the amazing giants. Move to the park headquarters in the morning for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the animals. Head into the forest for the trekking adventure, where you will move through thick and slippery trails. Trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the Gorilla. Meet and stay in the presence of the Gorillas for a maximum of one hour, then descend to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will take a community walk to the Batwa community, where you will get entertained and learn about their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.Day 5: Back to Kampala.
In the morning after breakfast, you will begin the drive back to Kampala, with enroute stopover for lunch and photography at the equator and local craft markets for African craft. Reach Kampala in the afternoon, and transfer to your hotel or to the airport for departure in case the flight is on schedule.End of Safari
