Detailed Itinerary
This 15 days tour will involve Gorilla tour, city tour, cultural tour, wildlife tour, birding and site seeing.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL – ENTEBBE -KAMPALA
On arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Africa Adventure Safaris will then transfer you to Kampala for the overnight at Cassia Lodge or Kampala Lodge.DAY 2: KAMPALA – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK.
Transfer to Murchison falls National park, lunch enroute (Masindi Town),drive to the top of the falls, dinner and overnight at Sambiya River Lodge (Mid Class) or paraa safari lodge (Superior).DAY 3: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON LAUNCH CRUISE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FALLS.
Wake up early for morning game in search for Lions, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Buffalo and Elephant as well as many of the other mammals of the park as well as over 400 bird species. Enjoy the afternoon launch cruise to the bottom of the magnificent Murchison falls and experience nature at its best in Africa. Overnight at your lodge.DAY 4: MURCHISON FALLS TO KIBALE FOREST
Start your drive after breakfast to kibale forest, a home to 13 primates’ species, lunch in Fort portal, visit “amabeere ganyina mwiru” (Breasts of Mwiru’s mother) which is a historical site with rocks shaped like a woman’s breasts, and get tales of the place, visit the king’s palace and visit the nearby community. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.DAY 5: CHIMP TREKKING AND BIGODI WALK
Go for chimpanzee trekking in the morning, lunch at Chimp nest restaurant, embark on an afternoon swamp walk in Bigodi ecotourism site, dinner and overnight at Mountains of the moon Hotel.DAY 6: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park with lots of game viewing enroute. Have lunch and take a boat trip on kazinga Channel to hundreds of Hippos, huge Nile crocodiles, over 600 bird species as well as herds of Buffalo and Elephants basking on shores. Overnight at Hippo Hill Lodge (Mid class) /Mweya Safari Lodge (Superior).DAY 7: GAME DRIVE AND NATURE WALK
Enjoy a morning game drive in search for Lions, Herds of elephants,Buffaloes etc, retire for lunch and take a nature walk to Maramagambo Forest in search for forest birds, visit bat caves and many more. Overnight at your lodge.DAY 8: MORNING TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, transfer to Bwindi with enroute game drive to through Ishasha sector (Home of tree lions. All Meals and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp/Gorilla Forest Camp.Day 9: Gorilla Tracking adventure and afternoon cultural walk to Batwa People (Pygmies), overnight at your lodge.
Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo, enjoy an afternoon boat ride, overnight at lake View Hotel Mbarara (Mid Class) or Arcadia Cottages (Superior)
DAY 11: LAKE MBURO – KAMPALA.
After an early morning breakfast you will have a guided nature walk. A ranger guide takes you on foot to the bush. Lake Mburo is the only place in this part of Uganda where you can see zebra and Impala and it’s also the best place to see the African Eland, Africa’s largest antelope! You will drive back to having a stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator. Over night at Cassia Lodge or The Lodge.DAY 12: JINJA CITY TOUR.
Morning transfer to Jinja, Visit the true source of River Nile, Bujagali falls, enjoy horse riding, return to Kampala with enroute visit to Sezibwa falls. Overnight at your lodge.DAY 13: DEPART TO NGAMBA ISLAND
The boat takes about 45 minutes across to Ngamba Island, crossing the Equator en-route. On arrival at the island, home to 39 chimpanzees, you will be given a short introduction and briefing on the sanctuary. After which, its feeding time! It is fascinating to watch the chimps interact with each other and with their keepers. Return to Kampala by evening.DAY 14: KAMPALA CITY TOUR.
City tour in Kampala, visit Kasubi tombs , Nakasero fruits market, art and craft shops, Kings Palace, the national museum, Baha’i temple, overnight at your hotel.DAY 15: RESERVED FOR DEPARTURE.
